Marlborough Now is published by Top South Media Marlborough, a locally owned and operated media company.

TSM Marlborough also publishes Marlborough Weekly, a community newspaper delivered to 18,400 homes and businesses every Wednesday, Marlborough Magazine, a monthly lifestyle magazine, and Top South Farming, a monthly newspaper delivered to rural letterboxes across the top of the South Island.

TSM Marlborough was founded by Summa Donald (who already owned Marlborough Magazine) and Andrew Board in early 2018 when they launched Marlborough App, the predecessor of Marlborough Now. The following year they started Marlborough Weekly.

It is now the largest media company in the region and is jointly owned by Summa, Andrew and Alex Roberton, another Marlborough local.

TSM Marlborough is a part of the Top South Media Group, which also publishes three community newspapers, a monthly lifestyle magazine and digital platform, Top South Now, in Nelson Tasman.
