Marlborough youngsters are gearing up to run, ride and challenge themselves when the Harcourts Kids Duathlon returns on Sunday, 18 October.
The popular event brings together hundreds of children, families, schools and community groups for a day focused on movement, participation and fun.
Open to 4–18-year-olds of all abilities, the event offers two duathlon race options, spot prizes and the much-loved cake stall. Bikefit Marlborough is also sponsoring a brand-new bike and helmet for one lucky winner.
For younger competitors, Beat the Bear returns with a 500m dash for children aged 4–7, with parents welcome to run alongside them.
Event T-shirts have become something of a collector’s item among Marlborough kids, with many returning each year to add another to their collection.
Support from local clubs, sporting organisations and community groups also plays an important role in getting more Marlborough children involved.
Entries are capped at 500 participants and only limited registrations will be available on the day.
