Notice
William John Page Stevenson
Known to most as Bill. Born 28th June 1955. Son of the late Jack and Pam Stevenson. Upcot Station Awatere Valley.
Sadly, after a hard-fought battle with cancer, on the 9th of October 2026 in his 72nd year our much-loved Bill passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family.
A man of great humility, Bill embraced life with gratitude, strength, courage and kindness, Bill never complained and always found joy in life. His love, wisdom and gentle presence enriched the lives of those who crossed his path along his life journey.
As the third generation to lead Upcot Station, Bill took immense pride in his family, his land, and the legacy he was building for future generations. Through his dedication, values, and love, he leaves a lasting legacy for his four daughters and his grandchildren to carry forward.
Bill loved people, young and old alike. He had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel valued, always taking the time to get to know each person he met. His warm smile, genuine interest in others, and generous spirit will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Treasured and deeply loved partner of Sheryl Guyton. Proud and loving father of Jacqui, Louise, Melaine, and Sarah Stevenson. Cherished Buffalo Bill of Haize and Marco. Dear brother and brother in law of Jo and Brett Dudley, Sue Stevenson and John Macer, Pip and the late Stuart Wood, Rob, and Lee Stevenson. Loved Uncle and great Uncle to all his nieces and nephews.
Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
"A life measured not by the years lived, but by the love given, the friendships made, and the legacy left behind."
Bill will be at Sheryl’s home from 9th October until the service which will be held at the Springlands Chapel, Cloudy Bay Funeral Services, 15 Boyce Street Blenheim on Wednesday, 14 October at 2pm followed by private cremation.
