Charles Patrick "Pat" Rainbird

Passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, aged 85 years.

Dearly loved husband and best friend of Sally. Loved father of Darin, the late Mark; Stephanie, Joanne and Adam, and their partners.

Adored Grandad of Sam, Tasmyn and Liam, Jack and Lillybell, Alex, Emilia and James.

Loved brother of the late Dawn; Marlene, Bill, Margaret and Suzanne, and their partners. Treasured uncle to all his nieces and nephews, and a solid and reliable friend to many.

Special thanks to the Civic Health team and Hospice Marlborough for their care of Pat.

In accordance with Pat’s wishes, a private cremation has taken place, with a Celebration of his life to be held at the Springlands Chapel, Cloudy Bay Funeral Services, 15 Boyce Street on Friday 30 October at 2.00pm.
