8 Dorset Street, Picton, Picton

Perched above Picton with views across to the harbour, this beautifully renovated bungalow pairs mid-century character with a finish that is anything but ordinary. Freshly presented, the home has been renovated to a very high standard throughout. Large picture windows draw in the light and the view, while the character of the era has been thoughtfully preserved. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms give you room for family and guests. The outdoor living is the real showstopper. A generous timber deck runs along the sunny side of the home, where a striking wood-fired outdoor oven and fireplace makes this the natural gathering spot for pizza nights, long lunches and evenings watching the lights come on across the harbour. Beyond the deck, sloping lawn dotted with fruit trees leads down the path to a second hidden coffee spot, with native birdsong for company. Ornamental grasses and established native plantings soften the edges, and seating is placed throughout the 1,051 sqm section to follow the sun from morning to evening. For the practical side, there’s a double garage with a dedicated workshop and storage, an outdoor garden shed plus plenty of off-street parking for the boat, the trailer or visiting friends. All this within an easy stroll of town, close to shops, schools, the ferry terminal and the Picton marina. Homes with this outlook, finished to this level, don’t come along often.
